Includes full access to our pastured Meat product list of beef, pork, chicken, and extra items. If you are familiar with what we've done in the past this share is very similar in size to all three (beef, pork, chicken) former shares combined. Going way back in time we used to call this the Super Duper Cooper Share.
Medium; $85.00 of Meat Cuts/Month
Excellent choice for 2-3 people. Could be a mix of 5-8 items depending on what your preferences are set for. Includes full access to our pastured Meat product list of beef, pork, chicken, and extra items. If you are familiar with what we've done in the past this share is very similar in size to the pork and chicken shares combined together or about the same size as the former beef share.
Small; $50.00 of Meat Cuts/Month
Excellent choice for 1 or 2 people. Could be 2-5 items based on your product preferences. Includes full access to our Pastured Meat product list of beef, pork, chicken and extra items. If you are familiar with what we've done in the past this share is very similar in size to our old pork share or chicken share.
How It Works Being a Part of the Share Program
CUSTOMIZABLE BOXES TAILORED TO PRODUCE YOU LIKE, BASED ON WHAT ITEMS WE GROW AND WHAT PRODUCE IS READY TO BE HARVESTED AT THAT TIME OF THE SEASON
Traditional CSA farms (what we use to be) would give you a mix of whatever cuts was available at that time and you had to work with what you were given. Now, with the help of an online platform known as HARVIE Farms, we can offer a modern “online shopping/banking” like experience.
You create an online profile with our farm & select the type of share you want.
Choose the shares you want to sign up for (veggies, meat eggs etc.)
Fill out your info for pick-up or home delivery.
Fill Out the preferences page on your profile
This is very important!
Our system customizes your share based on what cuts are available in inventory that week. (we have a big stock pile with lots of options)
This lets the online algorithm make a box based on cuts you like in regards to what is available.
Check you “Deliveries” section on your profile to see when your shares are scheduled over the season.
This is good to check frequently so you are ready to receive your meat, can plan your other grocery needs, or reschedule share say if you're going on vacay.
Expect a customization email the week before your upcoming delivery.
Comes on Friday afternoons. (*Check your junk box!)
This lets you know what items have been out into your share.
You can log onto your account and change or add items to your sahre. (customize to your needs & wants!)
Get Excited about your share!
We recommend having a cooler outside of your house for us to put the meat into while it waits for you to get home. (Ice packs in the cooler is a good idea too!)

All Meat Cuts Come Frozen
We don’t like food waste, this is one of the main reasons we freeze the meat cuts. Freezing the cuts extend the shelf life of these items and keeps their flavour. We have our butcher fast freeze each piece as soon as it is cut, this term is known as “frozen fresh”. The beef & pork cuts also come in brown butcher paper instead of vacuum pack to use less plastic.
FAQ’s
Q: What if I don’t eat a certain type of meat, will I get it in my share?
A: When you set your preferences, put a zero beside which cuts you NEVER want to receive.
Q: Preferences?
It is a rating system for each item we have. Every month when we are making the shares up, your preferences help the software algorithm do just that, this is how your shares are tailored to your liking.
Be open to trying everything we have if possible, prevents food waste and it makes it easier for the system to give you a good variety
If you have too many low ratings, the system will fault and not give you enough product for what you paid for. If you’re a really picky eater, a CSA program may not be for you
You can always change your preferences! You can play with these to try and get a better chance of getting a certain cut or if you didn’t like something you had.
Do you deliver?
Yes!
1 hour outside our farm (Durham Region, York Region, Bradford, Toronto- Not downtown, )
Apartments: We DO NOT deliver to your door- your lobby needs to accept the meat bag or we will not deliver to you. Needs to be somewhere for our driver to park to drop it off. Difficult deliveries will not be tolerated.
Please contact us if you live in an apartment and we can see if we can work something out.
You will see a sign-up map on the sign-up page of where we deliver.
If you sign up outside of an area we do not deliver- your share will be canceled. If you want our items but live outside, you can always pick up at a pick-up location OR have your shared delivered to a friend/family member within our delivery area.
If you opt for home delivery, you need to invest in a cooler as we deliver during the day and you may not be home to get the meat into the freezer right away.

Education: We love talking about farming and agriculture, any questions you have you can talk to us!
Watch your food grow: Come see the animals! We are open 4 days a week from June-October for you to come and see the farm.
Know your Farmer: We have a small staff, it’s mostly our family! We love to have a positive relationship with you and your food.
Discounts: We have sign up discounts available to reoccurring members

No refunds: we process animals based on your sign up. We understand things happen and issues will be dealt with on a case-by-case situation.
